blazing sunset nails

Nails → 1 min read

I spent a little time in the jungle this year. The lavender to blazing orange sunsets, the lilac fading into the sea, the frogs that should be camouflage but have an orange underbelly, the birds of paradise, and the butterflies that only live a day or so and never see their own wings: that was the inspiration.

I sketched the whole set in Procreate before the appointment, so the colors had somewhere to land. The colors:

  • DND DC 244 pink petals
  • DND DC 258 shine bright
  • DND DC 030 aqua blue
  • zGel (I pulled this neon salmon last minute, but I'll add it soon, promise 🤞🏽)

We created four gradients, and anchored them with soft accent lines that connected them to the nails left and right. The neon yellow French tip was a first for me, and I think I'm in love.

I promise to drop the behind the scenes of how my nail technician pulled this off next week. And yes, I'm holding onto this XL stiletto.
